Cannot open PDF file in IE6

Need help guys,

I have a IE6 running on my PC,and adobe 5 reader

I cannot open a pdf in IE6. It used to work before need i get a empty page

I have spyware and zonealarm running also

uninstall acrobat. delete the c:\acrobat folder (or wherever it's installed to), reboot, install acrobat.
This has worked about 95-98% of the time for me.

also try the iefix..
go to start, run
type in cmd, hit enter
then type these in:
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 shell32.dll
regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 urlmon.dll

one or both of these should fix your problem

You have to enable third party browser extensions in your security settings.

A better idea would be to add the site offering the pdf to your Trusted Internet Sites Zone.

I have the same problem with a recent upgrade to Adobe Reader 6.01 (under IE6). If I open the PDF directly with Adobe Reader, it thinks the "display in browser" is not enabled, and it asks if I want to enable. I answer "yes". I also go check in the preferences. It is selected. I have even de-selected and re-selected, but I still not get PDFs to open directly in the browser window. Additionally, IE is set to enable third party extensions.

Any ideas? I hate to reload.

Do you have Java enabled? If yes check the sec settings, and/or any firewall/pop up stopper, as these also can block the pdf normal loading.
