Cannot open Calendar folder in Outlook.."Invalid Date/time"

Hi,
Trying to open the calendar in Outlook 2000 brings a grey screen with a message "Unable to display folder. You must specify a valid date and time. Check that what you typed is both a valid date and time and make the neccessary corrections"

Apparently this has to do with PDA sync that was not set up properly and somehow corrupted outlook........ How do you rectify this without having to recreate the account on the exchange server
