Just upgraded to 4.1(9) I cannot make inbound or outbound calls throught the PRI.

Outbound calls let me dial 4 digits then I get the carriers " Cannot complete your call"

Incoming I can see in the monitor but it does not go to assigned extensions or hunt groups

Lost ability to dial 9 for outsideline as well.

avayahelp1970,

If you don't mind, send me a copy of your .cfg file @ dzdoz at cox dot net
and I'll look it over. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks

I think you upgraded from 3.2 or lower ?

If you did then you need to look at your system shortcode and ars

avayahelp1970,

For starters look in the system shortcodes:

9N; N; Dial 0 change this to look like

9N N Dial3K1 50:Main

Delete this shortcode xxxxxxxxxx N; Dial 0

Go to the ARS (1)

Add these shortcodes:
11 911 Dial Emergency 0
911 911 Dial Emergency 0
0N; 0N Dial3K1 0
1N; 1N Dial3k1 0
N; N Dial3K1 0
xxxxxxxxxxN N Dial3K1 0

avayahelp1970,
DID you programm DID numbers in the MSN/DDI configuration. What are your DID ranges? How many digits is the PRI carrier is sending you?
Thanks

I have seen so many techs do this. THey upgrade and dont understand the ARS. then change the 9 short code to line 0 instead of pointing to ARS.

avayahelp1970,
Also if you are in the U.S. you need to set the IP Office to ULAW and line to ULAW Line in System, Telephony tab.
I noticed it was set to ALAW.

Was this a working system before the upgrade?
Thanks

The carrier is sending us 4 digits.

Their is no DID ranges. We recommended a different carrier to start and DID ranges and only porting over the published numbers. The customer insisted on porting all numbers and the carrier talked them out of DID's

I programmed in the published numbers going to the operator phone. In incoming call route I specified the last 4 digits and the destination for Extension 12. I also tried destination 200Main Hunt Group with all users assigned and still nothing. I sent over the monitor log for the incoming call. You can see the 4 digits coming in and the CID info from the carrier performing a test call.

4 digits can be 0012,6323,1212 with about 4 different prefix's. Tried 7 and 10 digit with the carrier as well but nothing.

Bearer Cap = Any Voice
Line Group ID is 0 (PRI)
Incoming number = 0012
Incoming Sub =
Incoming CLI =
Locale =
Priority = 1
Tag =

Destination
Time Profile = Default Value
Destination 200Main
Fallback= 204Test

Does the extensions need anything extra other than the default 3 appearances in this release?

The extension numbers can be 3 digit.
Here's a few questions.
Can you dial out at this time after changing the shortcodes?
Did you set system to ULAW?
What version did you upgrade from and the steps you took to upgrade?

I made the changes remotely via VNC. I will be heading in shortly to do a test call. I did cahnge the system to ULAW.

Upgrade:
3.2(59) to 3.2(65) to 4.0(14) to 4.1(9)

Also,
On the PRI programming, go to channels, under service, change that to NO Service instead of None on all channels..

If you have a PRI then you have DID's, the original numbers that were ported over are now DID's.

Where are you located? I might suggest you get some on site help with this.

I know the numbers are DID's but there are no DID ranges. They are al random non sequential numbers.

Doz The incoming numbers are working now. I am still waiting for access today to try outbound. Is their a way to perform a test call out from the system through command line? I know some manufacturer systems have a debug mode to allow this.

Not that I no of, if you were using V-mail pro you could set up a DISA to call back out when auto attendant answers call. Other than that I don't think you can.

You can

Get a DDI
point it to a virtual user and set forward unconditional to your cellphone or something else

Make a call and se eif it works

you can install phone manager and make an outbound call through it since you have access to the remote PC.
