cannot login to system - TTY 01 SCH MTC BUG

Trying to login to our meridian 11c from my laptop over hyperterminal.

I connect to the pbxaminer and login to it succesfully.

I then get the login prompt for the meridian itself, but each time I put in the password it replies:


TTY 01 SCH MTC BUG 5:49

what is going on?

oh, it also shows ovl015, and then ovl111 000 idle

well, I kept trying and trying and it finally let me login.

but it kept putting the errors I mentioned in after I typed LOGI, but eventually I got in.

OVL015 is your password is incorrect, OVL111 00 IDLE is normal

you need:

putty. you must use rlogin connection (513)

must be create a PTY.

Are you using a serial or a Ethernet connection?. It looks as if you are trying to access a serial TTY 1 port?.

Not sure why it does not matter ALL the time, but set your keyboard to CAPS LOCK and log in that way
