Cannot Log in via Telnet

Hi everyone, I have a question I formatted my computer recently, before i could access to the MD110 via telnet and now i cannot.I can do ping to the NIU board, but in the software, the next message is shown "Error: Cannot get host entry" and other thing that i see is in the bottom says: Port closed. How can i fix that? some idea?
Another tip is, i have another computer in the same network than me and the NIU board and that PC is able to access.

'port closed' is the answer - sounds like port 23 for telnet is blocked on your pc - firewall?

thanks for your help, i thought that yesterday and i desactivated the firewall of my antivirus and the windows s.o. and i couldn´t log in, but today i did it again then yes i could :S.
