I have a user when i dial there extention and it will not allow me to leave a message instead it goes directly into the voicemail feature asking me if to check a mailbox, I have tryed resetting the phone by removing the extention and deleting the mailbox as well and readding the extention as well as the mailbox and i am still getting the same result

Am I missing something on the configurations?
Any suggestions would be great.

How many TN's are associated with that one DN? Could the other DN be forwarding to some other mailbox? Is there be a CDN programmed in Voice Mail with that DN? Keep looking...

1. there is only one TN associaated with that DN
2. theres only one DN
3. i am not sure what you mean by CDN, ( I am kind of a noob )

Thanks

Okay can you copy the phone build below please?

Your wording in your post is a little difficult to interpret - it kinda sounds like when you dial their extension it is not even hitting the correct voicemail account?
"when i dial there extention and it will not allow me to leave a message"

Sorry i am not able to copy the build out

What I am trying to say is that when a person calls the ext. instead hearing a greeting message to leave a message, it goes directly into the mailbox options asking me for the mailbox ext. and then to enter the password

the user is not able to recieve voicemails pretty much.

I hope this helps, sorry if i am not technical enough with phone systems

Look in the SDN table in CallPilot and verify the extension in trouble isn't listed there pointing to Voice Messaging.

this might be a stupid question but how would i get to the SDN table to verify and if it is in the table how would i remove it.

THanks alot

Sounds like you need to call a qualified Vendor to come out and show/teach you.

You need to login into the CallPilot via an internet browser. Once logged in you would go to system => "Service Directory Number" see if the numberexist in tha list it will bring up on the browser.

No only from an internet browser.

should bring up a login window. put in a admin account/password or use the system default login 000000, you must know the password to login though.

yes you can use command line if you're using MerMail, since you haven't said what type of VM you're using - everyone here is assuming you're using CallPilot.

Hey wait!! Is it possible that skinsfan4life gave them the extension of Express Messaging?? HAHA!!

Skins - that can be what happens when you dial express messaging extension.

I also agree with vvrkroon that you haven't even specified what voicemail system you are using. Makes it quite hard to help you effectively :)

Why can't you copy the phone build and post it? The reason I want you to post it is to see what your FDN, HUNT, Extension are built as on your phone build.
