When I attempt to install MTS I get an error when it gets to mtxtish.dll indicating that it cannot register the dll. The error numbers it spits back at me are 0x80070005 and 0x358d4cc. Any Ideas. The os is windows NT workstation 4.0 sp 6.0a This is driving me nuts. [sig][/sig]

Quimo,

Did you find a solution to the install problem? I have the same issue, only on NT4 w/ SP5

Having same problem. Same environment. Even tried to install on a Windows 2000 - similar problems . Please help.

Figured it was the same problem as the fix they posted for 98 and PWS......there are too many entries in your registery and the install app bombs out as a result. No patch is availiable that I can find for NT server (98 only) so I clean installed NT server 4, SP 6A and then installed MTS. Installed without a hitch with a clean registry. Pain in the proverbial, but at least I got MTS running.

Reinstalling NT is really not an option as this box is running many other things. I've tried an app called RegClean (download from is supposed to clean up the registry, but still no luck. this is so frustrating.......

Finally got it to work. We (re)installed all Componenets from the DVD, not just the MTS.
FYI - registry didn't seem to impact it - was set to 15MB. Good Luck

I purchased a book "Microsoft Transaction Server 2.0" (SAMS) which contains CD with a working database that is designed for learning processing. But "Beckwith" pack absents on the CD. Does anybody know the source where I can get this pack. Thank you.
