Cannot Install MS-Office 'cause of the DEP-protection

Hi anyone knows where or how to disable the DEP-protection? I read there is a way to do that in de BOOT.INI, but I cannot find that file.

I can't install Word or Excel anymore... AAAAAH!!!

Anyone?
 
HydraNL,

boot.ini is a "hidden & system" file. you can set view to show these types of files.

DEP shgould not be a problem for a properly coded application such as any MS product. you can learn more about DEP here:

The weird thing is that i'm trying to install MSO-2003. It's a genuine CD. When it starts I get the message that it cannot be installed 'cause of the DEP-Protection. I also followed the instructions of the page you send. But still after the reboot nothing seems to have changed.
 
Why not just call Microsoft? You've got a legal product, and they should be able to help you resolve the problem.
