Well, first of all hello everyone :)

I have an issue after the LL explorer installation. I am trying to install LL explorer 4.8.6 in Windows XP which also has Office 2010 on it.

After the installation I cannot find anywhere the LL menu (in Word, Excel, Outlook and also in Word Perfect).

I remember I had a similar issue some weeks ago only with Word Perfect and I managed to solve it, but I don't remember how I did it.

After the installation I go to Word, Excel etc add-ins but I cannot find LL somewhere, not even in the disabled add-ins.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

The best thing for you to do is to find from OT website an article that says how to clean uninstall the llexplorer client.Being windows xp I would think this is a x86 configuration so you may not be running into x64 difficulties.

When you invoke windows file explorer do you see the Llexplorer node or not that would rule out the llexplorer problems to agreat extent

Actually LLexplorer works perfect (I can double click on it and see all the files and folders). I uninstalled LL and I deleted everything from the registry, but still I cannot get the add ins in wordperfect and in Office in general.

I checked my computer because I have almost the same coniguration and I noticed that I don't have the LL add in on my Outlook 2010. Although there is the add in and it is enabled, I cannot find it anywhere in my Outlook. In all the other programs is working perfect including the Wordperfect.

The missing add in manual steps to add it was available in llexplorer's documentation.Since it is a fat client the person who did the install would have to ahve been an administartor and when installing all microsoft apps including outlook should have been closed for the automatic addition of the add in.since explorer per se is working I would start tinkering with manual addition before re-installing

Helpful links in the KB

also when you can move to the new webdav/enterprise connect client I beleive explorer is in its last days so not a lot of support can be found on it

Sorry but I cannot access the links you just gave. It says "Access is denied".

I'll try to access it again later. Currently my company is working to implement version 10, but until they finish I would like to know what causes the problem, or at least what I am doing wrong.

During the installation i have everything closed. How can I perform manual addition?

Thank you very much!

I believe when you right click properties on the golden icon that explorer puts on the desktop one of the tabs is probably help.It looks like windows help and you can filter based on outlook or addin

the KB links means that you should have a login. If anybody in your company has an account you can ask them to request one,it is free to mtce paying customers

Well, I was able to manage it...

To make it work on Office 2010, I had to uninstall Office 2010 and install again Office 2007. After that I had to reinstall LL and finally I had to upgrade to 2010. I don't know why, but it was the only instructions that a colleague gave me and worked.
