We have a client who called saying that he cannot connect his new laptop with XP as the OS to their Novell network. We tried to install to CSNW but for some reason, it couldn't be found! We keep getting the message:

WINDOWS IS UNABLE TO FIND A ANY DRIVERS FOR THIS DEVICE.
IF YOU HAVE A DISK THAT CONTAINS THE UPDATED DRIVER, OR YOU WISH TO SEARCH IN ANOTHER LOCATION, CLICK OK.

which seems odd since it appears that CSNW hasn't been installed and it should have been there, right? He has Service Advertising Protocol and I am not sure if he needs it to connect.

What's missing? Why can't CSNW install?

thanks.

Windows XP home edition doesn't have the Client Service for Netware. Most probably, your client uses the home edition. Of course, he can change the OS to the Professional Edition. Maybe there is another way of installing the Client Service for Netware controller, but I don't know it.

What did you finally do about this? My wife has to have the Client Service for NETWARE on the dial-up connection for her work.
