Cannot hear announcements

We have an NEAX IVS2. There's a classroom that cannot hear the morning announcements nor pages of any kind. Everything else on the phone works fine. The extension is in 56XX, and the phone has been replaced with one that was known to get announcements and such. Is there another setting that I don't know about?

Check command 56 and make sure the extension is in a page zone.

Make sure it is in group 00-05 in command 56. These are the only groups that can hear an all call page. It is limited to 96 total phones per all call page. Groups 06 and 07 are for individual paging zones only.

The extension is in 56XX...5602 I believe.

Check to see if the phone is set to DND? Go to a display set and call the extension that doesn't receive the page and see what the display says.

Can you hear the page when close to the phone and listening for the page? if so try picking up the handset and pressing the volume up key and that should turn up the volume of the speaker
