Is it something in a greeting? provide more details.

You could tell clients to press *100 for General Delivery or *xxx to go directly to a mailbox.

Did not put dial 1000 in message for customer to dial. Nortel Nellie says press * to leave a message, I would like for the General Delivery to answer the * entry and user not have to press any buttons. Thought I had done this before, but maybe not.
Does caller have to enter General Delivery Mailbox extension to leave a message and I have to tell them in Greeting?

tks

You could setup up CCR and point a Path to LVMSG into MB 100

I dont know of any trickery to change a star command.

Yes, the caller must enter a mailbox number after pressing the * key. Re-record the greeting to say "press *1000 to leave a message in our general delivery mailbox".

I do not know how to reprogram * either, but on my CallPilot setting the "Attendant Extension" in the Greeting Table setup will direct calls to an extension (and then to a mailbox) without users pressing anything. This requires that you associate General Delivery with a DN, though.

* and # are predetermined functions and can not be changed.
