cannot get a screen?Any ideas?
Problems continue! Grrrrr!
A few days ago,I was able to load XP home,CDRW-DVD configuration-was perfect.
Then I mounted M/B in the box ,but was getting a short, from M/B to metal case, so after many experiments, solved short problem, but had to clear CMOS to get PC powered up again, now I get powered up,but cannot get a screen?
Any ideas?
This is an integrated M/B by PC chips,a new PC Chips M787CL+ Motherboard
VIA gigaPro, 733MHz CPU
256MB- SDRAMM-memory
SiS 630E Chipset
3D 256bits AGP Graphics Accelerator
all embedded in M/B

if indeed you had a short between the board and the casing, you might've toasted your onboard video card. Always use the brass risers when attaching your board.

Hello Jazzbo,
You might want to double check the drives IDE cable. Look at the cable orientation pin #1 amd make sure the cable is not on backwards. Also unplug the power cable from the wall
outlet and then unplug the ATX connector from the mobo and let it sit for a minute or so. Then plug everything back in and give it a try.
