Cannot find Win.com

Does anyone know if this error has any solutions ?
ERROR MESSAGE: The following file is missing or corrupted: c:\windows\himen.sys
Cannot find win.com

Is there any solution to this or did a virus manage to destroy it?

Will the pc boot at all?
Have you recently installed any programs?

It gets as far as the 98 splash screen, and then appears with the error message.

I have changed my mind and this is what I have just done.I took the 98 HD and put it in my other pc. All i needed was some important pictures(98 was familypc).
I am going to install a new OS.I have 98, ME & Win2k. I probably will go with the 2000. I am sure I'll be back with lots of questions.
