Cannot find message file.

Briefly had IDS9.2 running last Friday. Didn't run starting yesterday. Getting the following message: "Cannot find message file. Check INFORMIXDIR and DBLANG." when using 'oninit' to start things up. I've checked the environment variables, etc..

Any clues?

Hi,

1228: Message number not found in message file.

This message is normally associated with incorrect order of installation of products. You may have to re-install products in the correct order as follows:

1. Application development tools from oldest to newest version.
(Informix Debugger, Informix 4GL, NewEra library, Informix-SQL etc.)
2. SQL Application-programming Interface (APIs)
(ESQL/C, ESQL/COBOL, Java/C++ Object Interface etc.)
3. Database Servers.
(Online, IDS, XPS, IIF2000, Universal Sever etc.)
4. Additional products.
(Remaining Interfaces and Documentations if any.)
