Cannot EXPORT Anything when running on Windows 2000 Server

Have installed CR 8.5 on Windows 2000 Server.

I can run all the reports without any problem.

However when I try to export, I get the message 'No Export DLLs'.

However, I have installed CR 8.5 and specifically selected that export support should be installed.

What can be wrong?

OK, I've never tried to install Crystal Reports on a server, but the following information might help. When installing CR the export dll's are put in a "Crystal" directory held in the normal windows directory.

Crxf_pdf.dll is the dll associated with PDF exports, so if this isn't stored anywhere, the installation failed. This could be because whoever installed the system didnot have rights for the creation of files/folders within the windows directory.

This issue occurs because the Windows 2000 Server is in 'Application Mode'. The install basically thinks that you're installing via Terminal Services and certain dlls are not registered.

In your particular situation, you'll need to perform the following steps:[ol][li]Uninstall Crystal Reports[/li][li]Switch the Server to Remote Administrators Mode[/li][ul][li]Go to 'Add/Remove Programs'[/li][li]Click the <Add/Remove Windows Components> button[/li][li]Click the <Next> button[/li][li]Select the 'Remote Administrators' radio button[/li][li]This will require a reboot[/li][/ul][li]Reinstall Crystal Reports[/li][li]Reset the machine to 'Application Mode' (if necessary - the main reason for using this is that it allows multiple remote connections)[/ol]Hope this helps!
