Cannot download address book in desktop messaging

Running Callpilot 5.00.41.30
Running lotus notes 6.5, and 7

Installed Desktop messaging, can send/recieve voicemail/email just fine.

However when prompted to download the addressbook,
it comes back with the error:

"Unable to find any entries in the address book. Please verify the LDP search base is correct and try again."

The ldap search base is: dc=nortel,dc=ca
No spaces. Just how the documentation says.

Anyone seen this problem before? help me please i'm dying here.

What is the callpilots fqdn? The search base should match the suffix on your fqdn.

fqdn is callpilot.am.mycompany.com

how would that work in the search base?

dc=callpilot.am.mycompany.com,dc=ca?

Should I change this on the server as well as clients?

If you fix this I'm going to be sooo happy.
