I have configured a SIP trunk, 10 channels, i have license for 5 channels . Incoming call are working fine. Outgoing calls are reaching to the telco and the phone says number busy. The telco guy told me that the format received by them is wrong. Instead of the SIP channels number they are getting extension number of the Agent who made the call. How can i configure the SIP trunk to send the channel number instead of the Agent extension number.
This is a trace which i took using the System Status.

502 is the agent extension number.
I am using short code 9N followed by 9 digit number to dial out using ARS
What should be the exact shot code that i should define in the ARS.

Please help.

I guess you have use internal data set in your URI, try changing it to to use credentials username or others and see if it helps :)

or you arent sending your dialed digits all together. (enbloc)

does your ars look like

9N / Dial / N"@<ITSP> / LGID
or
9N; / Dial /N"@<ITSP> / LGID

?

Problem Solved...

On the SIP tab for users i gave the channel/line numbers. Now when i tested the call is reaching fine.
Bu still i wonder why the system is not taking a channel from the SIP trunk automatically. What shoud i do to configure this.
With my current for each Agent on the SIP tab i removed the extension number and added channel line number. Bt what i want is when an agent dials out the system should randomly pick one channel from the SIP trunk.

That is what solved your problem, Avaya will always take a free trunk from a pool of lines in a trunk group.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much
