Cannot dial NXX over PRI

I have a CS1000 V5.5 and can dial all needed NXXs with the exception of 2 - 540-446-xxxx and 540-658-xxxx. This is really strange! All other NXX numbers can be dialed with no issue. It's just 446 and 658 that are the problem. Calling these exchanges from a cell phone or external analog line works but not via the PABX. The call results in an intercept tone from the carrier after the last digit is entered. The numbers called are verified as good numbers.

Any ideas? I actually opened a ticket with Verizon but of course they think I'm crazy.

How are these NXXs built in your dial plan? Something must be different somewhere

Do you have to dial NPA 540 first, as you show in your example?

If not, then those NXXs are either not in BARS or your Central Office has a "translations" problem.

To see if it is BARS: Find the Route Access code for the trunk route, dial it from a UNR/TGAR 0 phone, and then dial the NXX+number. If it works, then it's BARS.

If it fails, then it's the CO.

What happens if you bypass BARS?

If you bypass BARS, you'll need to account for DMI 10 in your test.

Do you have a pri test set? An easy of verifying where the problem is by using a pri test set to make the call. If it works with the test set then the problem lies with the cs1000.

You can also turn on d-channel messages to see why the call is being rejected.

Thanks for all the responses.
Ghtrout I am trying to get a tech in that location to try the call from an UNR/TGAR 0 set. Unfortunately, I do not have a PRI test set so I cannot use that. I will be there tomorrow morning and will pick up with it then. Again, thanks for the suggestions.
