I have a customer complaining they cant dial local numbers starting with 6.

Dialplan is minimal: ? .

Any ideas on this? Checked numbers sent to exchange, they are correct as per the trunk and call status.

Plugging analog phone in to trunk and the number dials OK.

Any ideas?

It's time to take a closer look at the service provider. I know you tested with a butt-set but that is not a IP Office. You mentioned an ISP so I am thinking you are getting the analog lines via a Adtran or Cisco device. Can you borrow a standard Telco analog line, just long enough for testing? Maybe an alarm line or a line from another business in the building. The current provider may be sending back some sort of signal when you connect to certain NNX's. Just one more thing to eliminate.

Good Luck

I would question the 90 ms disconnect... as the default here in the States is 500 ms. But... that would affect every call unless there is an issue with the 6XX exchange at the LEC giving you a little burp in the loop current and dropping the call.

Think twice, speak once~~!!~~

@budbyrd agree, 90ms is the default we use (Avaya techs tell us to use that in the region) has worked flawlessly for hundreds of sites.

I agree with you if it were a general disconnect timing issue then it would happen with all calls, but other calls connect fine without any issue whatsoever.
