In an Excel spreadsheet when entering numbers, the selection key seems to have stuck. When you hightlight cell A1 and then click on cell D7 all of the cells are highlighted. If you click on B10, it the highlighted area changed to A1-B10 rather than D7.
This has happened on two different computers on two different days. (One a laptop and one a workstation).
We saved the spreadsheets and did a restart and everything was fine. Is there a function that we can do rather than a restart to reset this?

Maybe all of the information is in the first cell, but appears to overflow to all of them. (I know that sounds simple, but you never know.)

I've had this type of problem before, and lost a lot of work because of it. My problem was I clicked the wheel switch on my mouse by accident.

Let me re-phrase my last post, By clicking the scroll mouse wheel got me out of the problem, I'm not sure clicking it caused the problem.
