We have a user who receive a few email from some unknown source with attachment. When she try to delete the email it will give an unknown error message and If you try to open it, It will give you a message that says out of system resources close some windows and try again. No matter what you do the email is stuck in the inbox and can't be moved to the deleted items or any folder.

I tried to use another machine and access her email from different machines and different version of the client still the email stays in the inbox. The mail delivery is on the exchange server mailbox not on personal folders.

We are using Mcaffee for Exchange 5.5 and outlook 98/2000/2002 for clients. I believed those email have viruses and the attachment had been quarantine but for some reasons the message get corrupted and cannot be deleted or moved anywhere.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Her mailbox was stored on the exchange server. Scanpst will only work on a pst and ost file which is a personal folder and archive folder or offline folder. I also have a problem moving those emails that are corrupted to any folder

Any more ideas.

Thanks

You did not mention the mail was still on the server.

Well, get your exchange tools out to check the Exchange folders.

Since this is not really an email problem (client) I think you better post it in the Exchange forum. The solution is out there. [morning]
