Hi,

Last year, the tech at the school where I work upgraded my old copy of Office 2000 to Office XP. She was able to export/import my email and reminders. However, I have not been able to delete any of the reminders that were created with Office 2000.

The dialogs all appear to work just fine, but nothing really happens. When I am prompted to delete either the single reminder or the series, I select “Delete the series.” But the reminders remain.

Yesterday I went back to school after having the summer off. I fired up the PC, and about 400 reminders appeared! I can’t put this off any longer. The tech for our county is so busy that I may not see her for a month. Meanwhile, can you recommend a solution?

Thanks,

Joe

I'd first try to start Outlook using the "cleanreminders" switch. With Outlook closed go Start ->Run... and in the run box type :eek:utlook /cleanreminders" without the quotation marks. This will clear and regenerate the reminders and should remove any corrupt reminders.

If that doesn't work then try a Detect and Repair. With Outlook open click on Help ->Detect and Repair... and follow the prompts.

Hope this helps.

Please help us help you. Read Tek-Tips posting polices before posting.

Thanks cmeagan656! I will try those ideas tomorrow.
