Cannot connect to transaction manager 1

hi
i m using oracle as the database
when setabort is encountered an error message

"Cannot connect to transaction manager or transaction manager is unavailable" is recieved

dose anyone have an idea regarding the same

What is the database driver you're using? Is it ole db provider for Oracle or others?
I think the problem is relative to DB driver.

You need to supply even more detail.

Which version of Oracle? On which OS? Same PC?
Of SQL*Net or Net 8?
Whose OLEDB Provider?
Which version?

There are two possible transaction managers - XA.DLL from Microsoft and Oracle Services for MTS from Oracle. It sounds like neither is properly installed.

provider = microsoft ole db provider for oracle
oracle server is installed on diffrent pc
os = winnt server

What does that mean?
