Cannot connect to the Citrix Sever, after activation licenses

Hi Guys,

After I activated the Metaframe XP for Windows 2000 product and Connection licenses I get the following error message, When I start a Published Ap.

Cannot connect to the Citrix Sever: The Citrix Server you have selected can not be located.

HELP ME! Please Robin Plomp

Can you log on to a desktop session?

Try entering the servers name or IP in the Server location field in the client.

If the IP works, but the servername doesn't, there's a DNS issue. Could be the client configuration, or the lack of a reverse look-up entry on the DNS server.

Is everything activated? :
Windows 2000 Terminal Server Licenses
Citrix XP Product License
Citrix XP Connection License
Citrix XP Feature Release 1 License
-Also make sure you perform the proper Assignment from the CMC. Highlight a license, then Actions > License > New Assignment.

Then, if all this stuff is achieved, I would agree that it's a network problem, if using DNS, add an entry for 'ica' and have it equal your main Metaframe Server.

Hi guys,

Thanks for al the help. I found out that de problems are not with the activated licenses but it is the time server.

The servers are two standalone w2k servers in a NT 4.0 domain. In the eventviewer I found w32time messages, saying that there are no timeservers in the domain. Therefor the server wil not function as normal. So now I have to make the nt 4.0 a time server.
