When I try to connect to a published application I am getting the following error message:

Cannot connect to the Citrix MetaFrame server. The Citrix MetaFrame server you have selected is not accepting connections.

Does anybody have any idea?

I have checked to confirm the following:

1. All licenses have been activiated.
2. The Citrix servers are accepting connections.

How are you trying to connect.

Web Interface or Program Neigfhbourhood.

[blue] Oh you know, just doing what I do.[/blue]

I have tried to connect in two ways.

1. By creating an ICA file.
2. By launching Citrix Program Neighbourhood through Application set

Is there a firewall in the way or anything? Ar logins enabled on the server

No there are is firewall in the way. I have checked and can confirm that log-on's are enabled on both servers which are load balanced.

Are you using secure gateway ? What version of Citrix ?

The version of Citrix is Metaframe XPa 1.0 Feature Release 3. I am not using a secure Gateway.

Can you open web browser URL on your server and see published programs ? You may need ICA client install to open publishes program on your server but can remove later.

Are you connecting on the lan or wan ?

Can you telnet to the IP of server port 1494 and get an ICA answer ?

You need the ICA client on your workstation to open published applications regardless if your accessing the server farm via your LAN or the WAN. Ocassionally you may run into the issue where the client may become corrupted hence the error message you are receiving. unload the client from add/remove programs restart your workstation then re-load the client (preferablly the Citrix ICA Web Client for 32-bit Windows). this should fix your problem.
