cannot connect to kx-tde100 with rs232c

Hello
I need help connecting to a kx-tde100 phone system via rs232c connection. Everytime I try I get
an error code EA04101 cannot open rs port. I am using a db9 to usb cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you connecting through rs232. Cable should be a null cable pins 2-3. 3-2 5-5 I think 4-7 and 7-4

Obtsystems - Thanks for the reply. I was able to get into the system last night anyways with a null modem between the DB9 and the PC. Default programming method for the KX-TDE100 is rs232. We program systems in house before installing on customer premise.
