Hi all,

We have BOEXI R1, running against Oracle 10.2. I have reports from several systems running on the server, most of which are fine, but one set of reports is not.

If I preview the report within Crystal Reports XI on the server, I am able to preview the report no problem. However, when I try to run the report from within BOE (using the same connection info.), there is a long pause, then a message asking me for the database logon information. I try entering this (a number of times), but the prompt keeps appearing.

Tha database information is definitely correct within BOE. I have tried connecting natively and with ODBC and get the same problem either way.

We have a BOEXI test server, and I am able to connect to the database and run the report successfully on that.

The database was upgraded from 10.1 to 10.2 this morning, and the server also moved domain last week - but as I say, all other systems are fine and the report runs OK on our test server, so I don't know if these are relevant.

I can't see anything in the server event viewer that indicates what the problem might be.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here?

Many thanks, Gavin

Gav,

Are these reports linked to a different system/database than the other ones?

You will have to log on to the CMC (Central Management Console), click on the folder where your report is kept and click on the report. Click on the Process tab, and click on database. enter that password for the database, scroll down and click on "Use same database login when report is run" and click update.

If this report is used in Infoview for the user to run, then you are done.

However, if it's a batch job, click on Schedule and enter today's date or a future date in the start date field of when you want the chages to take effect. Then click on update, and then click on schedule. You will be presented with the history tab and delete the previous recurring entry. Otherwise, both old new version of the report will be created.

Thanks for the replies & sorry for the delay, I'm in a different time zone.

shahdu, yes the reports are linked to a different database than the other ones on the same server. - All the other reports on the server are fine, just these (4 reports only) that will not run.

kskid, yes, I've done all that and all the databse etc. information is 100% correct (the report works in the Crystal Reports XI designer on the server). In most cases you are right in that it would just be a case of fiddling with the database information within CE / BOE, but I think this is something else.

Any suggestions shadhu? Thanks, gavin
