Have just upgraded my main policy server to 10d and upgraded the two media servers on different sites as well.
Problem is the policy server sees the two media servers but they are in red with unavailable in the status. have tried everything I can think off to make them see each other including deleting them from the list and re-adding.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction. Am not a Veritas expert, just kind of fell into the role of doing it (everyone stepped backwards whilst I stood still)

are yo backing up data accross differnt sites? have you added the remote agent to these sites

Resolution:

Rename the msgq*.dat file on the admin server & the managed media servers.

Stop services, files are in Data folder, rename & start the BE services
