Cannot complete processes because invoices posting

I'm trying to close off the year and i get the following error message:

"You cannot complete this process while invoices are being posted"

When i try to do year-end on the inventory module. There aren't any invoices to be posted I've checked (only backorders, orders and quotes). I'm not sure what to do, any advice?

Check to see if you have batches to be recovered:

Tools --> Routines --> Batch Recovery

Unfortunately that's not the case. Already tried that. Any other suggestions? I guess there are numerous things that could be causing this.

If there are no users, no batches, make a backup of the company and delete DYNAMICS..SY00800, SY00801 and also wkpostingvalidationstate in the company database.

You were correct Barbola, there was actually a user session from a terminated employee from the last day he was with the company that was still in SY00800 that was causing that error message (this user account had not been used since that day, so i logged in as him, logged out and that seemed to fix it). Thanks for your help!
