Cannot change VPN settings on 9611G

Hi All,
We have encountered a few 9611G phones in our environment that will not allow us to change the VPN settings on them. We have programed over 70 of these phones for VPN, but a few of them we cannot program. When we get to the VPN settings in the CRAFT menu, the Change button is missing. It's like the settings are read-only. I have verified that they are on the same firmware, and they all get the same settings file.

What am I missing?

Are you sure that they have not downloaded and used the “encryption disabled” version of firmware?

I am not 100% sure about that. Is there a way I can check that?

The unencrypted firmware would be missing the VPN option completely, not just the change button.

You can identify if you are on this by checking the installed firmware for a capital "U" at the end of the firmware name. There might be other naming conventions, but this is definitely consistent on the 96x0 and 96x1 series (and I believe J1xx too).

"SET VPNPROC" is probably the option you are looking to reconfigure. It must be set to "2" to make changes. The usage of this feature is very well documented in the 46xxsettings and Admin Guide PDFs.
