Hello Group,

I have a problem with an SV9100 System, recently Factory Reset, where I cannot change the IPL Subnet Mask from the default of 255.255.0.0 - I have a GCD-CP10 with GPZ-IPLE

The system has an IP address of 0.0.0.0 and the IPL has 192.168.11.6 and I cannot change it to a /24 - I will change it, click apply, wait several seconds, click home and do a second initialization, when it reboots it is back to a /16 mask

Any other changes i.e. DNS etc, will save after a reboot. Just not the mask. Ready to pull my hair out!

Screenshot is attached - what am I missing?

If you are using WebPro I think you need to logout and then log back in and do the reset, been awhile since I worked on a 9100 but that is the process for other NEC products.

That was it! Thank you so much - hopefully this post helps others in the future.

It is always good practice to logout of Webpro. Apparently some programming is written to the system after logging out. We used to ALWAYS get messed up with IP changed until we consistently logged out of Webpro.

The same applies to PCPro. Disconnect after uploading changed or new data.

I learned this the hard way, Recovered a system from default and then reset the system and each time it went back to default till I learned that you have to exit programming for it to write to memory! a bit like doing a copy run start on a Cisco box!
