Have you made all test calls from cordless handsets?
What does ALLOP; show?

Starting this and that won't help, the only one you can start (and helps) is your car engine. Now, if the busy tone appears after just "9", and your start point is 2, the call is not going to TLP11 at all. The problem is before that, so we need a trace from the call: Trace DTR from the LIM you are calling from (if possible, use LIM1 extension). It probably shows category issue, but start with this.
If using DTS, it should show in the display the problem....
stisr;
stuni:unit=dtr,lim=1;
sttsi:tri=1;
call
sttse:tri=1;
strap:tri=1;

Try to do this, when the traffic is low.

Trace RMP from the LIM, where the extension is located (when calling). Stop the trace IMMEDIATELY after the call goes busy.

No PTS is being received from the network.
Activenew should use trunk select from an extension to test every trunk i.e. *0*101#9 to select trunk 1-1 etc.
Alternatively connecting an analogue extension to each line in turn to check for dial tone is good.
A trace of TLP11 will be enlightening.

himdp,
you are right, the issue is with PTS, waiting for PTS - never accepted by EL, according to the trace. What we need is rodap and rocap and also excap (just in case). The categories are OK, so no problem there. Nadap would be a good help for this.
I think in this case something is changed, where - no idea...
Just FYI, something goes wrong here:

As himdp said maybe SP change trunk type.

Hello All,

I have checked all trunk , I found 13 of 17 trunk not working(give busy.

Thanks

This is a lesson to us all. We seem to be too keen to advise restarting program units/LIMs/exchange when we have not checked the basics first.

Knowing, as we do, that activenew is inexperienced we should think to ask if the simple things have been checked first.

As a third line support engineer for all my working time with Ericsson and related products I was guilty of being too keen to get signal tracing without checking the simple things that a first or second line engineer do as a matter of course.

It should be born in mind that restarting is disruptive and can affect established calls; this can give the system an undeserved bad reputation with the users.

Just my 2 cents as the Americans say[smile]

himdp,i have followed your advise to check trunk from ext

i found following 3 trunks working (there is Tone)

*0*104#9
*0*122#9
*0*123#9

My question, Why can not we communicate through these three lines?

Thank you all.

Hi activenew. The problem is the system does not know the faulty trunks are faulty. As I stated in a previous post, sadly now deleted by persons unknown, the system is selecting the same trunk every time you make an outgoing call. Unless you block all the faulty trunks, the working trunks will never be selected.

The selection order is determined by digit 3 in the SEL parameter of ROCAI, yours is set to 2 which will select the first free trunk in the route every time. If there are no busy trunks the same trunk will be selected every time if the system thinks it is OK.

You must get STC to fix the circuits as soon as possible. You can try blocking all the faulty trunks to get a limited service but this will greatly reduce the capacity.

Good luck.

himdp,I strongly appreciate your support, maintenance faulty lines is under process.

Thank a lot for all

Nice. So now we spent a lots of time to get this solved. Stupid us, not asking if the lines are OK.....

fcpli, yeh but it was fun while it lasted. I was hoping for a nice juicy fault as well[smile]

lastly we got the root cause.

Thank you so much for your support I really appreciate this.

fcpli, I think I mentioned this point above in the replies that was deleted, I said I checked only one trunk and found it busy, then called the service provider for support, the service provider technician checked the main trunk he found it working well and then he told me there is no problem in the Trunks the problem is from PBX, from here the confuse started.

I'm not lucky, the technician checked one of three lines that were working.

Thank you all
