I am working with a Mitel 3300 virtual/Physical 3300 icp system with SIP trunks.
MiVoice Business installed OVA version 7.2.1.24
MiVoice Border Gateway version 9.4.0.31

I have a user that cannot call one particular 800 number while others work fine. I am remote on a teleworker phone and this number works fine from my phone. We are under the same COS so I am unclear what may cause this problem.

Can anyone help me with a solution or some suggestions?

Thanks,

Carl

You need to confirm COR (Class of Restriction) is the same not COS

This turned out to be the owner of toll free number. We were assigned DID out of a new area code for the area. They were not excepting calls from this area code yet.

So you were calling out from a different area code as your caller ID when successful?

Seems that might have been useful info in the original post.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

We're running into this more and more... A customer that had ported MOST of their numbers to a new SIP service from their PRI - We are sending caller ID outbound to show the user's DID number. If that number hasn't been ported yet, the caller ID still works as the carrier is accepting whatever we're sending.
But since those numbers don't exist yet on the SIP service, the carrier is blocking those numbers from calling Toll Free numbers.
Until they get the remaining numbers ported, we're sending out a generic caller ID... since the customer requested the original porting themselves, I'm telling them they have to accept this until they get the numbers ported.... it's helping light a fire to get them to move on the port.

@kwbMitel, yes the test DID we were assigned was a 512 area code. They ran out of consecutive DID's in 512 so the new DID's area code is still fresh and some Toll Free numbers do not accept calls from it yet.
