Greetings,

I am looking for assistance with a production-stopping problem. We are currently changing our IP Address Scheme (in the last week) and in the last 3-4 days, we have lost access to LDAP. We use LDAP to simply connect our Help Desk Application's Address book to our Exchange 5.5 SP4 Server and also to authenticate. Since our recent IP Address changes (not blaming that, but keeping options open), we have lost contact with LDAP. We have hopefully checked and triple checked all settings that lie within the Exchange Administrator program and we have confirmed that all IP Addresses are set and that no old addresses exist anywhere. Looking for assistance with other troubleshooting ideas. I have used an LDAP tool to connect and bind, however, I am unsuccessful with that too. Any assistance is greatly appreciated! If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to post a reply with questions. I'm sure I forgot something.

Thanks!

hello,

look into the ports you are using... previously and if you have a new one... and see if it's good... if you are using firewalls, look into your firewall rules and policies and make sure you are allowing access to your new ip and port...

Hello ,
while installations of IBM tivoli 5.2 server iam getting this error please any one tell me what is the problem and how i can overcome form this .Iam new to LDAP server.
Thank you
Bhati

Attempt to bind failed; errno 22 (Invalid argument).
SocketInit failed for port 3538.
Terminating server.

More information might be helpful. Is this the error you got at installation time - or is at some point after - like when you are attempting to start the server - or access it from a client?

It looks like basic communication between whatever produced this error and the LDAP server failed - either on port or on ip address ...

Just a guess though ..
