I have a two cabinet Definity G3 PBX with a network control card (TN777B) in cabinet "A" that allows me to insert a memory card for backing up translations and announcements. I just recently installed a TN750C announcement board in cabinet "B". Upon running the command "sav ann from 01B13", I get an error stating "required announcement data moduel not administered." Does this mean I have to install the new announcement board in cabinet "A" to be able to backup the announcements to a memory card?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you gone in and set up the ann. card yet? Do you have any ann. on the card? Wisdom is Knowledge

Hi Matthew

If wou use an TN750C Board you don´t need to backup the announcements, because the board saves the announcement by himself onboard.

But for a security backup, you must administer an data modul with Type announcement, for example:

add data next or xxx for extension

Data Extension: ext:9991 Name: ann 01a10
Type: announcement COS: 1
Board: 01A10 COR: 1
ITC: unrestricted TN: 1

board: is the location from the announcement board in the definity carrier

and then you can save the announcement´s

Have Fun !

Thanks fellas. I used the "add data next" command. I am now able to save the announcements to a memory card (for off site storage).

You had to add a virtual data module for the announcement board, it´s necessary for making save announcements. And my friend upon, you had to administer save announcement, cause it´s not automated

Cheers

Hi Alber,
