Dear all,
We used to take backup of just 4 of our servers till now but now there is a need to add client machines too.

Now, when im adding a client (irrespective of the policy), its giving me this error- "Client couldnot be added to the client list. Status:255 would exceed the limit of 4 remote clients for this server".

I understand that there might be a defult setting of 4 on the number of remote clients and we shd definitely be able to change that. But, Im unable to figure out where.

Thanks a lot for u'r time and effort...I really appreciate this..
Have a nice day!

What version of NBU are you using?

Have you tried looking into the Global settings for NBU?

Thanks comtec17 for the response!!

Yeah, Ive checked global settings but couldn't find anything related there..

We r using NBU data center, MP6.

Thanks again,
-jyoti

There are limits on the number of clients that differant versions of NB can backup, this I think is a licence issue and you may have to put your hand in your pocket and buy an upgrade. Check with your Veritas customer rep.

Thanks lenski!

I'll try to contact customer rep.
Truly said, we might as well have to upgrade from this NBU 4.5 version.

Thanks anyways,
-Jyoti
