Interesting problem:
I have a single 2000 AD server. There are two other 2K servers and 1 2003 server. Playing various roles. One SQL, one Citrix. Periodically (several times a day) when users try to connect to a from within Citrix resource they get the Domain controller not found message. If they reboot, sometimes it will allow them to get on. If we reboot the servers, sometimes it will allow them to logon. I noticed in the event logs throughout the day are recording an error of cannot connect to Domain Controller.
The Citrix server, a brand new install, if I try to add a user I cannot contact the domain to add a domain account to say the local users group. I reboot the server and it works fine, for a while. When publishing an app if I haev just rebooted it works fine, if not it will get the the Domain Controller is not found message.
Any ideas? The SQL server is at SP3 (the Domain Controller is the only one at sp4). 2003 server is as current as M/S has released.
I am kinda suspecting that the domain server hardware is the culprit. It is a clone server. All other servers are Dell's. How can I prove this without purchasing another server?
Thanks for your thoughts....
