I attempted to add Internet Connection Sharing and it changed something in my TCP/IP settings or somewhere else I haven't found yet and now I cannot view webpages in IE. I use Netzero and it's troubleshooting help had me look at a bunch of TCP/IP stuff that is all okay. I can connect to my AOL account and do AOL things (email, chat, etc.) but cannot access AOL shell either so it's something in my machine changed that is frustrating and hard to find. I looked at the IE options window setting such as security and advanced tab stuff and nothing there looked suspicious. I use Zonealarm and turned it off temporarily but that wasn't it. I'm on WinME. Had the same problem once with Win98 and never did figure it out. Ended installing WinME and solved the problem. I expect it's some sneaky Winsock or TCP/IP thing hidden in the registry and not accessible through any GUI (thanks to MS). That of course means it'll be a nightmare to figure out.
Thanks for your help.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the TCP/IP. Even though the settings may look right the TCP/IP files may have become corrupt.

That worked. I went into Network Settings of Control Panel and uninstalled TCP/IP, rebooted then went back in and re-added it.\, the re-booted again.
