Hi,

We are running our Company website on IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000 Server SP3.
We have a Seperate ISA Server which has a web publishing rule configured for the company website.
We can access the Company site ok using the FQDN.
however we cannot access the web server internally by typing directory
Not sure if this is an ISA Server problem or an IIS problem.
IIS lockdown was installed on the web server but has been removed.
We do find that we can access OWA internally.
If anyone has any clues it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
if you have the FQDN hostheader on the website, you will not be able to acces the site by
then you would need to add the line as another hostheader on the site. Or if its the only site on the server you can clear it and leave the site without hostheader, then it will answer all URL requests

We do have multiple websites on the same server however they are each assigned an individual IP address.
I removed the host header and I can access the Web Server Internally and Externally.
Thanks very much for your help.

Cheers.

HarpP,
I am attempting to publish a web server from behind an ISA server. Why did you decide not to use the IIS Lockdown. Everything I have read says to do it. I would rather not use the Lockdown because but have great fear of being hacked. Are you secure?
