Dear All
I have a problem with S8300/G700 installed to a customer. I can not access the server via the web. I connect directly with crossover cable and type 192.11.13.6 to the internet explorer but no response.I try also to connect to the server via the LAN but the same problem. Do you think the problem is the web server? Have can i solve it?
Any help i will appreciate it
Thanks

Do you have the NIC on your laptop configured as 192.11.13.5 when connected to the services port?

Is it pingable...?

Thanks,
CJH

Yes sjforcum i have my laptop to 192.11.13.5 when i connect directly to services port. The problem is that the 192.11.13.6 is pingable (98converter) using cmd and i can not have access to the server...Do you think a software malfunction?
Any help i will appreciate it

Can you telnet to the box on that connection?
Can you establish an ASA connection?
Are you using HTTPS?

While anything is possible, I'm not at the point where I would deem it a software malfunction...

Hello dear sjforcum
Yes i can telnet 192.11.13.6 and connect to the server using the login/password. Also i can establish connection using the ASA software. I am using https protocol to connect via the internet explorer.
Thanks

Communication Manager may not be running... I had this problem last week. We stopped and started a couple times from the CLI and it started working again.

Thanks,
CJH

Thanks 98converter
Can you please tell which commands you use to restart the Communication manager?
Thanks a lot. I will try it and let you know!!!!

Dear sjforcum
I can not find any command "stop -s" . I login to media gateway but such command is invalid. Please can you tell how i can stop the CommMagr?
Thanks

Dear sjforcum
I use "stop -s CommunicaMgr" and stop also the audix. I start -s CommunicaMgr but the audix process is down.
The internet explorer doesnt work. Can you please tell me how to start all processes?
Thanks

This is to stop all services: stop -acf
This is to start all services: start -acf

Note that the Audix service takes about 5 more minutes to come up after Communication Manager..

Dear Petran
I will try the commands you gave me. But if i will do this remotely and execute the "stop" command i will be unable to execute the "start" command. This is true?
Thanks

No you can stop and start remotely but these things are done best if you re on-site. What if the services do not come up again ?

My advise: have an installation CD, the latest patch, license and password files, and then go on-site..

That is what I do.

can you telnet into 192.11.13.6
