cannot access private folders

I have 3 Win7 Pro machines set up the same way on a small office network

Everything was fine on Friday and the machines were left on over the weekend so nothing has been changed since it last worked.

All machines have password protected sharing OFF for both Home/Business and Public profiles.

Computer A and B can see all files on all 3 machines, A, B & C.

Computer C can see all files on Computer B but can only see the Public folder on Computer A.

All files on Computer A are shared with full read and write privileges on the Homegroup as well as Everyone. (I only used everyone to see if it would work - no joy)

I tried adding a password to Computer A and logging in with the UN and PW but still could only see the Pubic folder.

I notice that Computer A is on Network 4 where the other 2 computers are on Network 3 - network is a LAN - I don't know if this makes a difference but, I cannot change Network 4 to Network 3 on Computer A

I have several other Win7 networks running with the same settings without issues including the one in my own office.

Any assistance would be most appreciated as I cannot think of what to change next, thanks

It is currently Home. I tried changing it to Work but I know that it does not make any difference. It is not a Public situation an I didn't bother to try it

Have you tried stopping all sharing on Computer A, rebooting "A", recreating sharing on Computer A, and rebooting once more?

If you look at Computer Management on "A" (right-click on the Computer Icon and select Manage), what do you see there under Shared Folders?

Look at the NTFS Access Permissions as well as the Sharing Permissions for the folders giving trouble.

Add encrypted files to the list of possible reasons for Access Denied.

YES

If you look at Computer Management on "A" (right-click on the Computer Icon and select Manage), what do you see there under Shared Folders?
I see all of the folders that I have set the share on. All permissions are Full Control

I went through the Ownership routine but there were effectively no changes made

Update:

These 3 machines were set up one month ago with clean installs of Win7 Pro, fully updated and working fine with the following details:

Computer names
FSTOP-LINDA
FSTOP-AMANDA
FSTOP-BOYS

They were all part of a workgroup called WORKGROUP

There is also a NAS device in the network.

As I described above, file and print sharing was on, etc.

Today I noticed that when FSTOP-LINDA tried to connect to FSTOP-AMANDA the Enter Network Password window came up showing (see attached image)

This was there on Monday when I started this thread but I only noticed what the window was actually saying this morning.

My reading of this is that the Linda computer thought that Linda was trying to connect to Linda.

In fact, in the Network list of computers in My Computer, the only share items that Linda could see when she clicked on the Amanda computer was the shared folders on FSTOP-BOYS.

Up until last Monday this installation worked without problem. I logged in (remotely) to do some updating on the three computers last Saturday but noticed that I could not access the NAS so I didn't do any work to them at that time.

I attended the office on Monday morning and restarted the NAS. Linda and Boys reconnected to the NAS upon restart but I had to remap the network drive from Amanda to reconnect.

When I saw what looked like Linda trying to connect to Linda this morning I when back in and renamed each computer by removing "FSTOP" from each one and changed the workgroup to FIRE.

On restart of everything, everyone was able to connect with everyone else as the network had originally worked last Friday.

If anyone can shed any light on this situation, I would be most interested to hear.
