I just installed MS Exchange Server 2003 in a Windows 2003 Active Directory environment.
When I create a new user with a mailbox in the active directory, everything works just fine.
When I create a mailbox for an existing user, the user cannot connect to the exchange server from Outlook (version 2002). When I run Outlook for the first time, select exchange server, fill in the fields and click "Check Name" I get the following error message: "The name could not be resolved. The name could not be matched to a name in the address list."
I can, however, access the account's mailbox via OWA.
Furthermore, when in Outlook and connected to exchange server (using one of the newely created accounts that works), when I view the Global Address List, it shows only the recipients that were created by adding a whole new AD user account.
Any idea's on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Jim
