Following a plant-wide power loss yesterday, most of our Flash programming was gone. Unfortunately, I cannot use the default password to get into feature 983 to begin restoring mailboxes. Does anyone know how I can access feature 983 when the default password gives an "inactive password" message? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

if the flash defaulted you need to reactivate 98x codes

These appear to be activated. But I still cannot seem to find a valid password to get into Feature 983.

Before I start doing anything I'd try restarting the flash. We had these in over 40 stores and most of the time after a power loss the Flash wasn't working. 80 % of the time power cycling the Flash did the trick. Though there are the other 20% we would have to redo.

Unfortunately, I have already power cycled about half a dozen times. I fear I have fallen into the 20%.

inactive password"

No such message that I recall.

Is F983 asking for Password, Login or Inactive?

Password - use the default password listed in the Setup and Operation guide (passwords not allowed in forum).

Login - you need to reset via F985 if you forget a login

Inactive - Use F903 (newre releases) to agree to the Feature codes then try F983 again and use the defualt login, or system has an issue.

I am asked for a "Log:". After entering our password, I receive an "invalid password" message. After 3 tries, the system exits.

Unfortunately, feature 903 is also coming up as an invalid feature.

Did you try Curlycord's suggestion Feature 985...9...etc?
Before you reconfigure I'd try that...otherwise you may be doing a lot of unnecessary re programming.

Forgot to mention....also try the xftest programming to remove feature codes before repowering Flash.

Back up and running... Flash had to be re-initialized and re-programmed. Installer came in to assist. Thank you for your posts. Unfortunately, flash just needed to be redone from scratch.
