Internal computers cannot access Domain name website. Example: Domain is company.com and website is company.com. It indicates that the website cannot be found. The website is being hosted by an outside party, which incidently is also holding the domain name. This outside party is NOT the companies ISP. Any computers outside the domain structure are able to access the website. Obviously this company would like to be able to access their own website while they are at the office.

Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

Hey MZPooks,

You will need to create a host record for point it to the web site. All your users should have your internal dns server listed in their tcp/ip properties. Internally, they will have to use the www. to get to their external website. Without the it points to your domain.

But how do I make a host file if the IP doesn’t go right to the web site.

Cheers,
Pooks
