I have installed Sage ERP Accpac 6.0 in the followimng environment; Windows 2008 R2 Server, SQL Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista Business workstations. Accpac is running fine on all other workstations except one. The specs for the workstations are the same i.e same OS service packs, same hardware etc. The error message comes up when attempting to log into Accpac and it reads, "Cannot access database (error=111). See help for more information." I have removed the ODBC connection and recreated it, cleared the environment variables old paths, uninstalled Workstation Setup and reinstalled; but all this did not resolve the error.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks ettienne. I discovered that although this user was a Domain Admin and he was also an Administrator on the local computer, he was still not able to connect to Accpac. The user account under User Accounts was assigned as "Administrator" (the second option after "Standard User"). So, I changed it and used the "Other" option and selected "Administrators" instead, from the drop down combo box. I applied the changes and restarted and managed to login. I don't know whether there is any difference between these two options or not, but it has worked. So, it was permissions like you suggested
