We use Brightstor ArcServe 9 on a Win2000 server. It was working fine for a couple of weeks, then just stopped, giving us Backup Cancelled messages. I suspected the system was set to append rather than overwrite, which it was, and I changed that setting. But it doesn't seemed to have helped -- now my Activity logs are showing as blank every day. I will try putting in a totally new tape tonight, but please tell me I don't have to erase/reformat my existing tapes to reuse them. How can I look to see what is on a tape? How can I rename the media from a date (1/10/03) to a day of the week (Tuesday)?
Also, how do I get the program registration to come up? I haven't delved into it, but can I register even though the serve is not connected to the 'net?
