If you are splitting cores for a Cs1000 6.0 to move to another location (and you want to try to minimize downtime). Is it possible SCPU's without the HSP connected between the 2 Cores. The ELANs will be in the same Vlan/Subnet...Thanks

Can't switch CPUs with the HSP down as both cores will see themselves in single mode. I'd split them in 135 first, then disconnect the HSP, move the hardware and join them once all is back online at the new site.

When you disconnect the HSP between the CPUs the "health" of the off line is lower than the online. Thus you cannot swap the processors.

If the cores are joined you can split them without service outage. Then you can power down the inactive and move it to another location without service outage. After the move and after you have reconnected your E-Lan and HSP you can power on and join them again without any service outage. This is the theory but it should work. If you move one of the CPU's to another location I would not recommend you to connect the HSP through any switches if you can avoid it.
