I have a spreadsheet I need open and editable all day, preferably on top. I only need to be able to work with a small section at a time, two or three colums and a maximum of five rows. I've tried to look around into what I can do with Windows Sidebar and Google Sidebar but the only thing I can find is a way to put links to office applications, which is not what I am looking for. I am out of time to spend on this today, so any input is greatly appreciated. Also, if this should be in a different forum, please point me in the right direction.

Hi,

Just open it, size it as needed and use it whenever.

traycee and SkipVought,

Thank you for your input.

To better explain my situation, I am working on a large project deployed to numerous locations, and have to keep track of my progress in a spreadsheet. I typically have many windows open, and I have been leaving the spreadsheet in the background but it keeps getting lost in the shuffle. It would be nicer to have it prominently displayed in its own screen real estate.

I am between projects right now, so I have very few windows open, only twelve. I am working on a web based application, so at bare minimum I typically have:
IDE
Browser(s) (Usually at least three for testing, Firefox IE and Chrome)
Usually several Putty sessions, for dev test and however many production environments I am working with
SQL Client
GTalk for coordinating with coworkers

Plus however many explorer windows, GVim windows, and Office applications I have to work with.

I have plenty of screen space with dual wide-screen monitors, and I have to re-size the browsers constantly for testing as our clients do not have widescreen monitors. A small part along the edge of my screen like a floating sidebar would be wonderful for helping keep track of everything.

If I can't find anything I am sure I will survive, it would just make my life a lot easier having the tracking up on the screen to remind me, and having it easily editable.
