Can you program a 6 x16 from a pc?

Hi,

I was wondering if I could program the 6 x 16 DR5 from a PC, if so what software would I need? What I understand the newer systems can with a RAD but I don't know if the 6 x 16 is too old.

In the UK, it would only have been possible with a RAD and using the basic access option which was via a virtual phone terminal.

In NA we have a Browser Tool built into NRU as well.

-Norstar Remote Utilities 11.0
-Fastrad
-Straight through DB9 Serial Cable M/F
-Laptop with serial port or with USB to Serial Adapter

Would I have to use the regular RAD or the Fast RAD?

Their is no regular RAD really but there is the older RAD for older software/ksu's.

Fastrad:
3x8 DR5.1
6x16 DR2 or higher
8x24 DR2 or higher
CICS 1.0 or higher
MICS 1.0 or higher
MICS XC 1.0 or higher

There might be some cases where a Rad would be needed on some older stuff.

Quick question, while I was looking on Ebay I notice some brand new ones have Avaya name badge on theme. Would one of those work or would you recommend getting one that has the Norstar name on it? Not sure if their is any difference in the two.
